Our People
Sharon Gleeson
APCO Foundation Chair
The APCO Foundation began its work in 2013 when we realised that we could do so much more together than separately. I have always believed that a community is created when people are kind to those who are in need of help and support. Building this foundation together with my 3 sisters and my other wonderful board members for the past 7 years has been extremely rewarding. I was a franchisee within the APCO company for over 19 years and being able to continue on the board as Chair has been challenging, exciting and personally for me an enriching experience.
Jan Carroll
APCO Foundation Committee Member
Having been involved with APCO for many years I have a great respect for Ron and Margaret, the Anderson family and for APCO. I have been member of the Foundation committee since its early days and have seen it grow quickly - this due to the amazing support of the public, APCO Franchisees, directors, H/O , sponsors of our events, and the Amazing team effort of the board members and committee. As a past franchisee I particularly like to see the sites use their allocated portion of Foundation money to assist people in their own community. I find it rewarding to be part of a group who make a huge difference to people’s lives. I am now retired and live in Ballarat. I am involved in volunteering work with Ballarat Health services.

I have been an Apco Retail Partner in Bendigo for the past 30 years. I love being a part of the Apco foundation and working with people who believe in the same causes that inspire me. We are making an impact on individual lives and this gives our everyday life more meaning.I believe our donations have the potential to improve our communities quality of life.
Andrew Augustine
APCO Marketing Manager
As the Marketing Manager at APCO for nearly a decade Andrew’s marketing experience and relationships helps contribute to the Foundation. I am very proud of the work we do to improve the lives of individuals and families in need. Our support of wonderful charities like Cottage by the Sea,Headspace and Cops N Kids also helps these charities carry on their wonderful work. It certainly is very satisfying and rewarding to be on the Board of the APCO Foundation and I look forward to watching the Foundation grow year on year so it can help more and more people.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Andrew Jones
APCO Foundation Director
Since 2016 it has been a privilege to be a director. Apart from the enjoyment of working with my co-directors, the fun of the fundraising events, the best part is being able to assist people through some really tough times. The difference with this foundation is we assist families and people to get over difficult times and we really make a difference. As well we support many local not-for-profits. We could not do this without the tremendous support from the APCO family.

Every day we see or read Heartbreaking stories. Volunteering is a way for me to do something helpful and positive to our community. A little assistance to someone or a family in need, even the smallest gestures can make a difference to them. And I hope the time and support I give to the foundation helps in a small way. It also helps me put my life in perspective. Your time is the most important thing you can give to another person.
